ROW & Route Surveys are performed for the acquisition of right-of-ways or easements. Generally if the route is not predetermined Coleman & Associates will review an aerial photograph with the Client to determine the route that seems most feasible. Once this has been established a field crew will make an inspection on the ground and perform a topographic survey of the possible  route to locate any obstructions.

The purpose of the ground inspection and topo is to locate any possible obstructions. Engineering companies may also use this data for design. When the alignment has been determined, and width of the easement or right-of-way is finalized Coleman and Associates will prepare an easement exhibit and metes and bounds description to be included in the easement documents to be filed of record.
